"Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well."
As pensioners, and as an organization of retirees that maintains a focus on related advocacy issues, we are committed to understanding the relevant issues of health care, and its availability and impact on seniors. As such, we are proponents of maintaining the senior health care benefits in this province and advocating for continuation of the provisions of the Canada Health Accord. I have been pleased to represent these views on your behalf.
I can truly say that I achieved a deeper understanding of the significance of this health ‘umbrella’ over the past few weeks. Previously my writing at this time of year would include what I did on my summer vacation, tales of travels, the ARTA retreat, and shared time with ARTA and ACERCART colleagues. This year those activities disappeared from my calendar subsequent to a pneumonia diagnosis in May.
