Winners of the 2014 Photo Contest
The ARTA 2014 Photo Contest theme ‘Winter in Alberta’ was well received by members. The contest itself was a huge success with a great number of entries, making it a very hard call for the judges.
A number of the new participants joined some participants who had entered the 50th-anniversary event in 2013. Although the introduction of the black and white category did not draw the number of entries anticipated, enough entries were received to warrant having the category in the upcoming 2015 contest. (Perhaps some photographers have not yet discovered how to use their digital cameras for black and white photography.)
A small number of entries had to be rejected because they did not meet the criteria set out in the contest rules.
