Pharmacy Services
Medication Synchronization
When you’re taking more than one set of medications, it can be a pain to have to visit the pharmacy multiple times a month (or multiple times a week!) to get refills for all the different bottles.
ARTARx can help you solve this problem, by synchronizing all your medications to a single refill date. Patients can request to have all their medications counted out to have each bottle empty at the same time, so that there is a constant refill schedule going forward!
Not only does this free up time by eliminating the need for multiple trips to the pharmacy, but medication synchronization can help you keep track of each medication you’re taking, lowering the chances of missed refills.
Medication Pouching
Through the Medication Pouching service, ARTARx pharmacists can review the full list of prescription medications you’re taking and create a custom package based on your specific needs. Each day’s medications are sorted into their own package, sealed, labelled, and made ready to go when the right day arrives. There’s no fuss, and your chances of missing a day of vital medication are severely reduced. Best of all, if you’re taking over-the-counter medications on a regular basis, your pharmacist can add those to the pouch too.
If you’re a primary caregiver to a family member who has trouble remembering which medications to take, and when, Medication Pouching is also a valuable service to reduce your own burden as you care for their health needs.
ARTARx also has the ability to blister pack medications, if that is your preference.
Free Home Delivery
When your prescriptions are ready, you will have the option to pick up in-person or, for patients that maintain an ongoing in-person relationship at ARTARx, they can be received by free local delivery within the Edmonton greater area.
Delivery timing will depend on your postal code. Most orders will be processed and sent in 1-2 business days, depending on the complexity of the order.
Travel Consultations and Vaccinations
Going on a trip? Our pharmacists can help you determine which vaccinations you’ll need, and even provide them for you in the pharmacy.
Hybrid online/in-person consultations
Making follow-up care more accessible. After meeting with your pharmacist in-person, they will determine an appropriate schedule of in-person and online consultations for your specific needs. ARTARx pharmacists are able to discuss medication options with patients, as well as monitor and assist with their health care goals.
