person looking at flight status at airport

Due to the current conflict in Iran disrupting global fuel supplies, there have been many flight disruptions and cancellations. Travel insurance providers do not cover cancellations or interruptions that are directly related to war, conflict, or resulting operational issues. As such, fuel shortages as well as travel expenses related to your trip, including cruises, accommodations, tours or prepaid arrangements, would also not be covered. Standard travel policies contain broad war‑related exclusions, including situations where flights are cancelled due to events stemming from armed conflict.

ARTA Emergency Travel Insurance coverage applies to sudden and unforeseen medical emergencies when outside your province of residence.

ARTA will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as they are communicated. If you find yourself in this situation, we recommend contacting your airline directly, as they may offer rebooking options or refunds.
